Who wants to ride a unicorn in New Jersey?
Almost every little girl in the world loves unicorns. I can’t tell you how many I bought for my granddaughter in every imaginable form. Now, you can ride one here in New Jersey.
Don’t worry, horses don’t mind carrying a small horn.
It is not known how many people in New Jersey know the horse is our state animal. We have more horses per square mile than any other state. Most of the horses are concentrated in the counties of Hunterdon and Monmouth.
This is the county where Jessica Springsteen, Olympic equestrian silver medalist and daughter of Bruce, learned to ride.
County Monmouth is also a place where you can go horseback riding in a really cool place. Red Valley Ranch is in Millstone and has horseback riding and all kinds of animals that kids will love.
There is a petting zoo, chicks, and ranch walks where you can walk the animals. They even offer unicorn rides and will have a unicorn festival on September 25-26.
Yeah, I know, every little girl in the world will want to go. Better get your tickets now. They moved from nearby Jackson in Ocean County to their beautiful new location in Millstone, just across the border from County Monmouth.
Red Valley Ranch even has a fresh produce stand, craft classes, and they even sell locally made chicken coops. This place has it all for the farm / ranch / outdoor / animal enthusiast. There is even a nursery that sells plants of all kinds.
The owners are great people and regular listeners to NJ 101.5. It’s a unique and best-kept secret that won’t stay that way for long.
