Skanska rehabilitates sections of the Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, for $ 161 million, or approximately SEK 1.4 billion
STERSUND, Sweden , July 8, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Skanska signed a contract with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) to rehabilitate sections of the Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City, New Jersey, UNITED STATES. The contract is worth $ 161 million, about 1.4 billion Swedish kronor, which will be included in the order books in the United States for the second quarter of 2021.
The contract includes the rehabilitation of sections of the Pulaski Skyway carrying routes 1 and 9 to Jersey City, New Jersey, and includes the structural overhaul and painting of thirteen spans of the Skyway steel frame and superstructure. The contract also includes the replacement of the bearings and the reconstruction of the jetty.
Construction began in June 2021 and should be completed in December 2026.
