the power ball Wednesday’s lottery draw jackpot jumped to around $370 million, with a cash option worth $222.8 million.
The winning numbers were 20, 30, 45, 55 and 56. The Power Ball drawn was 14 with a Power Play of 2X.
Nobody across the country hit Monday’s $352.5 million jackpot. There were also no $1 million second prize tickets sold.
In New Jersey, a pair of $50,000, third prize tickets were purchased. Each matched four numbers plus the Powerball. One was purchased from Gro Mart on Front Street in Secaucus, the other from Angels Rosa Park Food Center on Rosa Park Boulevard in Paterson.
Monday’s winning numbers were: 8, 33, 55, 59 and 62. The Power Ball drawn was 18 with a Power Play of 2X.
Also, no one touched the $10 million secondary draw that followed the main draw on Monday. The winning numbers were 12, 17, 29, 65 and 66. The Double Play Power Ball drawn was 7.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has approximately a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of matching five numbers and winning at least $1 million, while that the odds are 913,129 to 1 of winning the third prize of at least $50,000.
Powerball is played Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, as well as Washington DC, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
New Jersey Lottery Lawrence’s offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. should players prefer to file claims and validate winning tickets in person. Claims can be deposited in a secure drop box at the lottery headquarters. This option applies to prizes with a value greater than $599.50.
If the player wins a prize of $25,000 or more (or feels more comfortable submitting claims in person), appointments can still be made to meet with lottery representatives in person by calling 1-800-222-0996.
