the Powerball Wednesday’s lottery draw jackpot returned to around $ 20 million after someone who bought a lucky ticket to Jacksonville, Florida won Saturday’s $ 285.6 million prize.
The winning numbers are: 19, 28, 46, 50, 54. Powerball: 9 and Power Play 2X.
In addition to the winning jackpot ticket, a second prize ticket corresponding to five numbers but not Powerball was sold in Puerto Rico. It’s worth $ 2 million since the winner spent $ 1 more for the Power Play option.
A pair of third prize tickets valued at $ 50,000 each was purchased in the Garden State, according to the New Jersey Lottery. One was sold at ShopRite Liquors on Route 15 in Wharton and the other at Joe’s Liquor Store on 11th Avenue in Paterson. Each matched four numbers plus the Powerball.
The winning numbers for Saturday were: 44, 52, 54, 64 and 69. The Powerball shot was 26 with a power play of 3X.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388-1. A player who buys a $ 2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of matching five numbers and winning at least $ 1 million, while that the odds are 913,129 to 1 of winning third prize of at least $ 50,000.
Powerball is played Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, Washington DC, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
the New Jersey Lottery Lawrence office is open by appointment only. You can still claim your winnings – provided they’re less than $ 599.50 – in person at any lottery retailer.
The lottery also accepts complaints sent by mail, although officials warn that payments could be temporarily delayed. Winners are requested to make copies of the claim form and winning ticket for their records.
