Call it GenderMania.
Ronald Cameron and his partner, Kayla Peterson, are expecting their first child in December, WPVI reported. The couple, who live in the suburban Philadelphia city of Cinnaminson, staged a gender reveal in the Square Circle.
Peterson is a huge WWE fan, while Cameron is a college wrestling coach, the TV channel reported.
Warning: some profanity in the following video.
Peterson’s dad has a flair – maybe learned from Ric Flair? – for the theater and suggested the match. Gervase Peterson is familiar with television, having appeared in 31 episodes of the reality show “Survivor” between 2000 and 2013, according to IMDb.com. He even appeared in a 2000 recording of “WWE Sunday Night Heat,” according to the movie’s database.
It was Gervase Peterson’s idea for in-ring adventure, and the couple waits embraced the idea.
Cameron built a makeshift ring in the yard of Kayla Peterson’s home, with blue and pink PVC pipes representing the tensioner posts, WPVI reported.
The opponents ? Team Girl Wrestler vs. Team Boy Wrestler.
Anthony Cameron, Ronald’s brother, wore a pink tutu to represent Team Girl Wrestler, WPVI reported. Ronald Cameron’s other brother, Shawn Ruffin, wore the Team Girl Wrestler blue tutu.
Kayla Peterson’s brother Gunner Peterson would play a key role, and her father was the referee, the TV station reported.
The match was a lively affair that lasted less than three minutes, and there was a lot of action. Understandably, the ref was distracted, allowing Gunner Peterson to step in and hit Ruffin with a chair.
Anthony Cameron dived for the pin and got the count of three, giving Team Girl the victory.
That meant the wrestling-mad couple were expecting a girl, WPVI reported.
“It’s a girl,” Gervase Peterson shouted, raising Anthony Cameron’s arm in victory.
WWE Brand Manager Stephanie McMahon and daughter of WWE owner Vince McMahon Jr. even weighed in on the match.
“Now that’s a gender reveal that I would love to witness”, Stephanie McMahon tweeted.
If Ronald Cameron and Kayla Peterson decide to have another child someday, they might face a challenge moving past this gender reveal.
âMaybe we’ll have to do a ladder match next time,â Ronald Cameron told WPVI.
Or a Royal Rumble.
