Bruck and Bramnick join Wildstein at NJ Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC
New Jersey Acting Attorney General Andrew Bruck and Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick will join host David Wildstein at the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, August 28 at 4 p.m. .
Bruck became the state’s top law enforcement official in July after Gurbir Grewal resigned to a position with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Bruck, 38, is a graduate of Princeton University and Stanford Law School and was a law clerk to the Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, Stuart Rabner, from 2008 to 2009. He worked as a litigation partner at Davis Polk & Wardell before completing a five-year stint at the US Department of Justice.
He served as the Assistant United States Attorney in New Jersey and as Senior Counsel, Deputy Chief of Staff and Acting Chief of Staff to Assistant Attorney General Sally Yates. He joined the Murphy administration as executive assistant attorney general in 2018 and has been the senior deputy attorney general since last summer.
Bruck is New Jersey’s first openly gay attorney general.
Bramnick has served in the State Assembly since winning a special electoral convention in 2003. He joined the Republican leadership of the assembly in 2006 and became Minority Leader in 2012. A lawyer, Bramnick has been named New Jersey’s funniest lawyer and is the author of Why People Don’t Like You, a social skills comedy.
Mentioned as a potential candidate for statewide office, Bramnick turned down chances to run for governor in 2017 and 2021. He is currently the Republican candidate for the State Senate in the 21st Legislative District , where Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean, Jr. is not seeking re-election.
Bramnick is also a member of the New Jersey Legislative Allocation Commission which will draw new districts for the 2023 election.
He is a long-time advocate of greater civility in politics and the creation of stronger personal relationships between members of both political parties.
