2 Powerball lottery tickets valued at $ 50,000 sold in New Jersey as jackpot climbs to $ 127 million
Of them Powerball tickets purchased in New Jersey for Wednesday’s lottery draw won a third prize of $ 50,000 while the jackpot climbs to $ 127 million for Saturday’s draw.
The two New Jersey winners matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn and were among the nine third place winners nationally. There were no second winners.
New Jersey Lottery officials announced the venue for ticket sales as follows:
- Shreeji Deli & Grocery at 18 Redneck Ave. in Little Ferry, Bergen County
- Monmouth Travel Plaza at mile marker 100 on the Garden State Parkway in Wall.
The winning numbers for Wednesday were: 08, 21, 30, 49 and 57 with a power ball of 08. The multiplier number was 02.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $ 2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of hitting five numbers and winning at least $ 1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 of winning the third at least $ 50,000.
Powerball is played Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, Washington DC, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
